Parents and babies (London)

CINEMA

I initially thought that having a child would write off opportunities to go to the cinema for at least the next 5 years, but these cinemas offer dedicated parent-baby screenings with decreased sound levels and increased tolerance of babies crying:

COMEDY

Bring Your Own Baby (BYOB) Comedy: Baby friendly comedy club at a range of venues across London.

FITNESS

It can be hard to get the time to exercise once the little one arrives but these classes offer joint parent/baby sessions or provide childcare services, allowing you to get a guilt-free workout in.

Circuits: Fision Fitness, in the arches at Herne Hill, did parent/baby circuit classes Sundays – ideal for those working full time Mon-Fri. Babies and weights sound like a recipe for disaster but the instructors are great at keeping the kids entertained, plus toys are on hand to keep the little ones occupied. Unfortunately the latest update (Nov-24) is that this has been removed from the schedule but mum and baby classes are still available .

Crossfit: Crossfit Tooting provides a creche Monday to Fridays, with post natal fitness classes for mums on Tuesdays & Thursdays, and classes suitable for both dads and mums on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays.

QUIZES

With questions pulled together by an ex TV quizmaster, Bring Your Baby Quizes hosted at a slightly more relaxed pace at a range of pub venues in and around London.

WALKING TOURS

From the company behind Bring Your Baby Quizes, Bring Your Baby Walks offer c.2 hour themed walks for parent and babies at a variety of locations north and south of the river.

WINE TASTING

Legs, Body, Finish offers “Champers and Pampers” informative and informal wine tasting for mums and dads with babies/toddlers in tow.
